The Certified DEI Travel Professional (CDTP) program is a professional development course for those in leadership roles in travel industry organizations. It is based on Travel Unity’s DEI Standards for Travel & Tourism and can help your organization get on the road to being Certified by Travel Unity.

In the CDTP program, you will

  • learn more about diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) alongside other committed travel industry leaders
  • create a comprehensive DEI plan for your own organization

INTERESTED IN BECOMING A CDTP?

The core components of CDTP are

  • Two live sessions (in-person or virtually) 
  • Video content (DEI 100Stakeholder Engagement, and Sustainability)
  • Final recorded presentation
  • Creating a Comprehensive DEI Plan that is vetted and approved by Travel Unity

ELIGIBILITY

CDTP is designed for travel professionals in leadership roles.

To be considered for CDTP, applicants must either: 

1) be a CEO (or equivalent) at a travel industry organization

OR

2) submit a message of endorsement on organizational letterhead from the CEO (or equivalent) of a travel industry organization

The letter must state that the organization will utilize the participant’s comprehensive DEI plan to align with Travel Unity’s DEI Standards for Travel & Tourism.


CDTP PROGRAM DETAILS

There are 3 parts to the CDTP program.

  1. Attend two 3-hour virtual sessions and watch accompanying videos before and after the sessions


2. Present a high-level overview of your Comprehensive DEI Plan

3. Submit your Comprehensive DEI Plan

After your final report is vetted by Travel Unity facilitators, you will receive your designation as a Certified DEI Travel Professional (CDTP)!
