Travel Unity helps people feel like they belong in the world.

Volunteers help make that work real. They support the programs, research, stories, resources, and community efforts that turn welcome, access, and respect into action.

What Volunteers Do

Volunteers contribute to projects that advance inclusion, accessibility, and sustainability across the travel industry.

Whether creating content, conducting research, supporting programs, or sharing stories, volunteers help Travel Unity build a more welcoming future for all travelers.

Volunteers work with one or more Travel Unity Working Groups:

  • Advocacy: policy, accessibility, traveler stories, and tools for change
  • Alliance: member engagement, networking, community-building, and events
  • Marketing: messaging, case studies, outreach, content, and storytelling
  • Resources & Research: focus groups, surveys, resource gathering, and industry insights
  • Volunteer Engagement: onboarding, project matching, volunteer support, and recognition
  • Workforce Development & Industry Education: career pathways, youth programs, certifications, workshops, and industry learning

Write a Spotlight or Case Study

Interview a travel professional or organization, build the page on our website yourself, and make the social post that shares it.

What You’ll Gain

Who Can Volunteer

We welcome volunteers of all backgrounds and experience levels.
You do not need prior experience, just curiosity, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

Interested in Leadership?

Volunteering is the best starting point for people interested in eventually serving on Travel Unity’s Board of Advisors or Board of Directors. It gives you a chance to get involved in our work and gives us a chance to get to know you.

Directors and Advisors are required to be Travel Unity members. Anyone interested in joining the Board of Directors must first serve as an Advisor for at least three months before being considered for the Board.
