Individual Certification Programs
Our vision is a world where everyone feels welcome to travel. To make this a reality, we're empowering the travel industry with the knowledge and tools to create inclusive experiences for all.
Our DEI certification programs, tailored to various career levels, equip industry members with the skills to foster a more welcoming and equitable travel environment.
We currently offer three levels of individual certifications.
Travel Unity Individual Certificate (TUIC)
Introductory Certification
TUIC
provides professionals and students with foundational knowledge of DEI in the travel and tourism industry.
Travel DEI Practitioner (TDP)
Management-level Certification
TDP equips managers and mid-level professionals to integrate DEI effectively within their departments.
Certified Diversity Travel Professional (CDTP)
Executive-level Certification
CDTP
certifies senior executives and leaders committed to building DEI into their organization's culture.
CERTIFICATION PROGRAM FOR
TRAVEL INDUSTRY ORGANIZATIONS
Certified by Travel Unity (CBTU)
CBTU is the travel and tourism industry’s only certification program that validates visitor-facing organizations’ efforts around diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).
We encourage any organization that welcomes visitors to participate in this certification program, including:
- Attractions
- Accommodations (including hotels and resorts)
- Convention and Visitor Bureaus (CVBs)
- Destination Marketing/Management Organizations (DMOs)
- Museums
