TUYAC is a program for 15-21 year olds to gain leadership and applied professional skills.
TUYAC works with local elementary and high schools to introduce students to the world of travel and basic DEI concepts. TUYAC works directly with TU staff to organize excursions and events. TUYAC also works with TU staff and board to fund our Youth Programs.
TUYAC training is a virtual 10-week virtual training for young people to learn about the travel industry, Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and storytelling. Participants are offered opportunities to develop their leadership and professional skills while learning about one another’s backgrounds and passions. After receiving their certificate, training graduates become members of the Travel Unity Youth Advisory Council (TUYAC).
During your training, you will be able to develop skills such as:
Leadership, Communication (Written & Verbal), Public Speaking, and more!
For those looking to deepen their commitment and skills, TUYAC members can apply to become officers in TUYAC. Officers advise Youth Programs Staff and work directly with TU staff members to keep our youth programming up-to-date and fun. Indicate on your application if you would like an officer role and/or to learn more.
