Travel Unity believes that travel enriches lives as an activity and a career path. We provide opportunities to help youth grow personally and professionally, showing them that travel can be a part of their lives, no matter who they are. We aim to build advocates for the vibrant and flexible travel industry, fostering a generation that champions its value.
The Future Travel Leaders Program, expected to launch in 2025, empowers young individuals from diverse backgrounds to become the next generation of leaders in the travel industry. Through a combination of educational workshops, cultural excursions, and hands-on experiences, participants gain essential skills and insights into the world of travel and tourism.
The program emphasizes diversity, equity, and inclusion, ensuring that these future leaders are equipped to drive positive change and innovation in the industry. By connecting with mentors and engaging in real-world projects, participants are prepared to shape a more inclusive and sustainable future in travel.

Our virtual programs aim to build advocates for the travel industry by deepening participants' understanding of the travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors that shape our everyday lives. Through engaging activities, insightful content, and connections with industry professionals and peers from around the world, participants explore their curiosity about the field. They engage in discussions and hands-on projects to envision themselves in the travel industry workforce. Each program aligns with Travel Unity’s mission to make travel welcoming to all and to develop informed, passionate leaders who contribute to the industry both within and beyond Travel Unity.
Operating on a term basis, TUYAC meets weekly in specialized committees. The Social Media/Marketing Committee develops content to promote TU programs and personal travel stories, while the Podcast Committee produces episodes on travel industry topics and interviews. The council also provides youth perspectives on programming and remains engaged throughout the year. Participation in TUYAC requires prior involvement with Travel Unity, such as through a youth summit, volunteer work, or another program.
Travel Unity’s Global Scholars Program (GSP) is a 4-module leadership program, training students to become ambassadors for Travel Unity in their local communities.
This program offered a unique opportunity for change and connection, and discovering how DEI is present in your community. Participants collaborated with us and a global network of youth, mentors, and industry leaders.
YVP is composed of three sessions. Each session consists of four weeks of engaging Zoom meetings held every Wednesday, followed by two weeks of independent projects to further deepen your understanding. During our weekly meetings, volunteers engaged in a variety of impactful projects. They collaborated with TU advisors on DEI initiatives aimed at shaping a more inclusive future, and create social media content that highlights champions in the community
Travel Unity Youth Summits are comprehensive programs for youth that range from 1 to 3 days, supported by partnering organizations such as DMOs, districts, and other relevant entities. These summits can include discussions on foundational DEI concepts, the travel industry, professional development, and career exploration. Participants will also have the opportunity to network with industry professionals and local business leaders. This flexible program allows our partners to work closely with the Travel Unity team to ensure it meets their specific goals for the youth in their community.

In partnership with Visit Greater Palm Springs (VGPS), a 6-week micro-internship program was offered to 6 Coachella Valley High School students. The program provided a comprehensive look at the travel and hospitality industry through discussions, guest speakers, and excursions in the Greater Palm Springs area, offering valuable hands-on experience.
